GO CANUCKS GO

When I decided to come to Vancouver, it was widely because of the ski areas as well as the drinking age. However I never expected that this city had an extensive hockey culture. I mean, it's unbelievable how a freaking hockey match can transform the city as soon as the third period is ended.

Personally, I consider myself as a football fanatic, actually I do believe that there is nothing like combining a cold beer with a good football match. Before I arrived to Canada hockey sucked for me, but just to make a few things clear: Nowadays I learned how to love hockey as a part of the great Vancouver.

One of the reasons that I can mention is that the Canucks for me, personify perfectly the spirit of hope. Thus, that hopeful feeling is not strange to me at all. In Colombia I'm fan of one of the smallest teams: Independiente Santa Fe (we won the last championship 40 years ago, and i'm still waiting to look at my team with the trophy).

One second reason is how enjoyable is to be walking around on the streets having fun with all the people who are celebrating (in that way, football is not that different from hockey). I love this kind of environments, I think I was born to celebrate on the streets with strangers! hehe

VIVA EL FOOTBALL, VIVA EL HOCKEY!!!
